A little bit about us
We are not here to teach your child. We’re here to inspire them to learn.
With over 300+ Acton Academies across the globe now, an interest in families like yours has been piqued. When we discovered Acton, we realized this was our chance to build the very school we had worked so hard to find, one that baked in all the things we desired for our children.
Working hard. Having Fun.
Preparing to change the world.
Our model is designed to help your child discover their gifts, develop their passions, and use them to find a calling.
Meet the Team
Acton Academy’s learner-driven community spoke to my heart the same way it does yours. I couldn’t shake it after learning about it in 2018. Four years later, my husband and I decided to make a change for our family and haven’t looked back since. The community within Acton is very supportive and driven to change the world. We are elated to bring such a powerful force to Greenville.
Carrie Turner, Owner + Discovery Guide
Carrie is the Owner and Discovery Guide at Acton Academy Greenville. She has a heart to serve others, and that includes guiding people to tap into their God-given gifts and share them with the world. You will find her inspiring others to dream big.
She has a bachelor's in business administration with an emphasis on marketing and sports administration. She felt called to learn about small businesses, not knowing that this would lead to her opening numerous businesses of her own down the road. Once she had two children, she connected deeply with the philosophy of aiding children to think for themselves and learn how to learn, do, and be.
Carrie is eager to help learners along their journey to becoming just that in themselves. Facing and embracing challenges and watching them overcome, and realizing all they are capable of is one of the things that she loves the most.
Carrie’s first role is as a guide, coach, and mentor to learners, and secondly, owner of this incredible learner-driven school that will spark our children to change the world through thick and thin!
Katie Fulcher, Spark Guide
Katie is the Spark Guide at Acton Academy Greenville. She is a mom of four children, ages 20, 18, 16, and 15. Embracing the chaos is one of her specialties. She thrives in an environment where children are the lead. Katie also enjoys traveling with her family, soaking up the sun at the lake, and reading in the sunshine. Since graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in childhood development, she has been drawn to counseling children and helping them develop into who they are made to become. Her passion didn’t stop there; she also launched a mentoring program for the children to have extra support and motivation to be themselves.
Katie was also, most recently, an engaging preschool teacher at Immanuel Lutheran for over seven years. She enjoys meeting children on their level and getting to know them. The hero’s journey fits effortlessly into her busy life, and she has already seen a beautiful transformation within her own family thanks to the wisdom of Acton Academy.
We exist to empower character-filled human beings for life. Our graduates will be the leaders of our future.
To inspire each person who enters our doors to find a calling that will change the world and make it a better place.
